Glenn Curran
Glenn Curran has built an enviable reputation amongst his clients and peers for being tenacious in achieving results. This single-minded determination has been a dominant theme in Glenn’s personal and professional life that has seen him achieve a series of impressive goals, including distinguished service with the Australian Special Forces. He’s an exceptional individual who lives to challenge himself and those around him. Now a successful entrepreneur and founder of Curran Property which enjoyed consistent growth and stand out results before the July 2017 merger with McGrath Estate Agents. Glenn channels the same energy and focus into his passion for real estate.

Growing up in Berowra, on the edge of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, provided the perfect setting for Glenn who revelled in sport and the great outdoors. Small business owners for over three decades, Glenn has inherited the same values and work ethic that were modelled by his parents. In fact he began his sales career behind the counter of his parent’s local hardware store.

A significant factor in shaping his philosophy and approach to business has been Glenn’s military service. Joining the army after high school, Glenn was earmarked for one of the military’s highest and most exclusive honours – the Special Forces Selection Programme. Serving as a Commando both locally and abroad for seven years, Glenn’s unique skills allowed him to work on such diverse projects as the UN peacekeeping operations in East Timor, the Sydney Olympics, Rugby World Cup 2003 and the safe recovery of Australian nationals caught in regional turmoil. These missions required acute situational awareness: Glenn attributes his problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure directly to his military service.

After the completion of his service, Glenn held senior executive roles with International Corporations located in the Middle East. During this time he demonstrated impressive business acumen by successfully negotiating several multi-million dollar construction contracts.

Upon returning to Australia in 2012, Glenn established Curran Property, which has enjoyed consistent growth and strong market share. He established a great track record of successfully marketing and selling marque properties, particularly in well-established markets like Sydney’s North Shore with notable results including the $11.8m sale of Ballernoo in Killara. Glenn is passionate about raising the general public’s perception of the industry. Glenn also actively embraces new technology. He was a pioneer of HD video production and now also incorporates cloud-based 3D virtual tours. “We’re always looking at new ways we can assist our vendors in getting the right marketing technology platform to help drive their property sale”.

Glenn is an active supporter of community-based initiatives across a number of areas. Glenn is a major sponsor of the Gordon Rugby Club and he’s particularly happy to see his involvement benefitting not only the Highlander’s push for the Shute Shield but also the development of local juniors.   • Our eldest son first contacted Glenn some eighteen months ago with a view to consider a marketing strategy for our home of the last forty years. After some off market offers, due to John's ill health, we did not commit to any sale campaign.   • In 1985, my wife and I purchased Fieldhead a Federation-style two-storey residence at 42 Nelson Rd, Lindfield, situated on a double block. Over the next thirty years we restored the property to a high state of acceptance, including a tennis court, substantial gardens, and internal renovation. With our family moving on, the time came to sell the property, and with that decision, to decide on a real estate agent to expedite the sale. This was a very difficult decision as the Lindfield area is well served by many real estate agents who are long established and well credentialed. We met Curran through their cold calling marketing strategy and were impressed with their enthusiasm and their pro-active approach. They were a comparatively young agency with key staff who were experienced not only in real estate but with impressive resumes in other occupations.
